Director Lars Maagerø's adaptation of Büchner's classic 'Woyzeck' explores the idea of what happens when society pushes a person to the limits of their sanity. The piece plays with the balance between reality and performance, and in response I created a playing space that was nebulous, fractured, and multi-functional, obscuring performers behind sheets of plastic which then become waves to drown the protagonist, and finally the shrouds covering his body on the autopsy table.
