'Pomona' is an ode to Lovecraft, to roleplaying games, to fantasy meeting reality. Alistair blurs the lines between the horrors of the real world and the ones that we make up for our own entertainment. For the set, I chose a traverse orientation in order to create a playing space that allowed for action to quickly jump from one scene to another at opposite ends of the stage, as well as creating a long path full of obstacles to emphasise the sense of journey implicit in the play.
